Writing is my truest passion. When I’m feeling low its like a form of therapy for me. The pages never judge me. When life is intense, and there are too many thoughts rattling around in my head, putting those thoughts into words can calm my brain storm. This writing place is my ‘Mueseum of Manic Energy’. My writing place is my shrine to self reflection and my castle of catharsis…
I have been writing since the age of eight, when a teacher discovered my flair for creative writing and how that I was a much happier person when I wrote. I write a combination of things, poetry, short stories, reviews, prose and memoir. I have been working on some novels and would like to dabble in writing for children. Reading is the best gift that you can give to children. My children and husband adore reading, as do I, and my sisters both work in libraries.
I have been a member of The Gorey Writers, in County Wexford, Ireland since 2012, and have just joined The Wexford Writers. I have had pieces published in magazines, papers, art journals and online. I am part of the two anthologies with The Gorey Writers, ‘Fledgling’, published in 2016, and ‘Taking Flight’ published in 2019.
